When I'm on a cell phone, I have very different RSS reading requirements than when I'm at my desk.

Aggregating RSS content on a cell phone is relatively easy, but you have to think about the objectives of doing something like this. In imy case, I want a snapshot of each story, not the complete content. Using a ton of bandwidth to move each story down to the phone's browser is not smart. So it makes a lot of sense for news feeds to publish versions (or variants) of RSS that are heavy and light (rss.lockergnome.com) provides a great example of this.

RSS is a format that is not immediately consumable by cell phone browsers, so there has to be some form of aggregator that transforms the content from XML to xHTML or WAP.

The MyST platform includes a server-side aggregation tool that allows us to easily combine specific feeds and reuse them in arbitrary XML formats including WAP and Wap Phone profiles. Most of our work in this regard is related to custom enterprise km-related implementations, but here’s a public transformation for Lockergnome's RSS Opinions feed that should work on Nokia 4.0 Mobile Browsers. Just tap into this link from your cell phone:

http://myst-technology.com/mysmartchannels/public/aggregate/12107?model=nokia-xhtml

If you have specific questions about using this framework, drop me a note.
