Agile Content (Part Two)

It's really enjoyable when you discover just how easy it is to integrate content from one agile tool to another. Here's an approach that enables you to take channel content on your next business trip.

If cross-platform integration gets any simpler than clicking on a button, I have a hard time imagining what the process might look like. Why is this process so void of friction? Simple - two separate teams - one in Germany, and one in America embraced loosely-coupling designs and adopted some simple XML standards.

In MySmartChannels we built a new subscription model (an XSL stylesheet) and added a button to launch it. The new model generates XML documents in the same format that PocketMindMap reads and writes. We've never spoken to the folks at JKRB, nor have they ever heard of us and our platform. But our tools seamlessly work together. As we discover the benefits of each other's application, perhaps deeper integrations will occur such as round trip editing on either platform. After all, how long could it take? ;-)
