| March 24, 2003 | | Inviting other users to view and collaborate has never been easier. | Until recently, it was difficult to invite other users to read and author channels with you. A new user that you’d like to collaborate with first had to register and activate their account, then you had to open the channel(s) to be shared and assign permissions to your colleague - the new user. The new approach compresses all these steps into one e-mail event. Simply select the invitation icon (little guy with an e-mail envelope) and provide your colleague’s name and e-mail address. Optionally you may extend permissions beyond Read and Discover in the invitation dialog. Send the invitation - that’s it! When your colleague accepts the invitation sign up and registration to MySmartChannels will be automatic. Within seconds your friend will be viewing the same channel or channel item. The invitation feature is simple to use and allows you to actively create collaborative synchronicity with your co-workers, friends, and associates.
